User/Password Management

I'm looking for a good comparison of centralized user/password
management. kerberos, openldap, etc...
Any pointers or links would be appreciated. In a nutshell, what i'm
looking for is the best tool that:

Has central administration
scales well (200+ clients)
Is easy to maintain
is Secure!

NIS/NIS+ doesn't work, cause they all have different sets of users on
each system.
