Question on Firefox config ?

I have seen a weird thing with firefox sometimes. It appears to not
display some GIF images correctly and I have wondered if there was some
settings one can tweak to fix this? It seems to display a GIF that
should appear like so:

"first_part second_part"

to look like this:

"first_part"
"second_part"

Has anyone else seen this and more importantly, does anyone know if
this can be "fixed",?
